Cheering you on!!!

So we are starting week # 3 of 2015 and If you are anything like me It has taken me this whole 19 days to recover from the holidays and focus on making my goals and dreams come true in 2015 so I am here to let you know I am cheering you on and here to help you every step of the way!

A couple of things we must do is

1. Write it down
Your goals that is writing them down is going to help you to see what you need to do to make your strategic plan to meet your goals
It is important to be GOAL guided in your business-- letting your goals guide you to the success you dream about! 
Last year I was gifted a composition notebook/journal to keep my goals in-- I wrote my business plan for the year on the first page
then on the second page I drew a line down the middle of the page and on one side it said goals I have and on the other it said I met the goal(I was able to write a date down) 
The next page I wrote out a strategic plan to make my goals happen and then the last page was my dream page I just listed everything that I dreamed to one day own or have

Another great idea is to do a dream board where you can visually see it

This year I am combining the 2 and I will be placing everything in a small scrapbook/journal

2. Recruiting
This is going to be key for our team to be successful this year in 2015 as our sales goal is so big and almost too much for us to meet but with each additional stylist that number will go down!  My goal is to recruit 2 per month for the first quarter personally and team wise recruit 1 per month for the first quarter if this happens we will have added 12 new stylists to our team which will make our goal $300.00 per month for each stylist which is 1 trunk show wow that would be awesome!!!
Remember the recruiting incentive this month is to recruit 2 stylists before the end of the month and receive a free piece of shapewear(incentive comes from Heather Minich)

Don't do it alone- I am here to help with opportunity conversations and remember the opportunity calls twice a week are great to get on with your potential stylist then talk after the call

3. Royal Rubies Teamwork
If you would like to discuss your goals for 2015 and sit down and make a strategic plan of action to accomplish your goals please let me know and we can do lunch or coffee or whatever:)

We are in this together remember that always and as we are building our very own Ruby Ribbon business know that it is the support system of Royal  Rubies Sisters that is going to help us to succeed in everything!

personal team goals I have for this year
1. To do more team calls at least 1 per quarter I would like for our team to get on and do a conference call to be able to have some training tips, guest speakers, time to ask questions, share, announce team recognition and more-- I think we should start next week after I get back from Leaderfest I will e-mail each of you to see what you think

2. Team meetings--I know that we are kind of far apart but I would like to have at least 2 meetings per year and the perfect place and time to have our first would be at Runway this summer(I would love for our entire team to go!)

3. one on ones- I would like to get on the phone with each of you individually each month I usually do this but I want to continue for 2015

4. RUNWAY- It will be in July and hopefully it is in driving distance for us I have a goal that each member of Royal Rubies goes to Runway this July!  Start saving now:) I will hopefully give more details on our team call in the next couple of weeks:)

The importance of a team name

So we are officially a team now but what team are we? :)

We need a team name and it is very important to have a strong name, exciting name, a name that is not specific to our state because hopefully we will grow into our tri-state area, I don't want a name that is with my last name because it is not all about me but it is about us it is our team!!!

So I began looking into some of the other names that Ruby Ribbon teams have, there is the DREAM TEAM, the ROCKSTARS, the STAR RUBIES, the RISING STARS OF RUBY RIBBON, and there may be more but these are the ones that I hear often.  So I wanted a name that embraced our Ruby Ribbon name or at least some connection to it, and I wanted something that means something:)
Lots of brainstorming was happening and honestly I have thought about this even before we were officially a team. 

Now I have always been interested in studying the royal family, and I was named after a Princess so it is only fitting that the team name will be....


.... ROYAL RUBIES

Yay!!!! What do you ladies think about that?

Stylists on the team are part of the royal court, and Sr. Stylists become promoted to a Duchess and team leaders will be promoted to Princess and my mom has played such an important part of my Ruby Ribbon business and our team so she will be "Queen Mother":)(Like Anna's mom is called Chief mom)

Each position in our team is very important and we need each one to thrive and prosper

Lets show the home office that the Royal Rubies are just that and show them that we are as AWESOME as we know that we are!

I will be changing the name of our blog shortly. Do you all want a team FB page as well or just stay with Heather's page for the time being?

You will be seeing lots of team themed challenges in the months to come keep your eyes and ears open!

I am so blessed to have such an awesome team of ladies that love Ruby Ribbon and want to build businesses in WV:)

We really need to think about how we want to build our businesses and lets start recruiting those who we think will make a fabulous stylist and an asset to our team

Heather is doing a team wide challenge and she is including our Royal Rubies team for each stylist that recruits 2 stylists in January she will receive a piece of shapewear for herself or rack:)  I am participating in this challenge as well:  I have my list of potential recruits I am working with to try to get them to join in January-- we can do it girls-- lets all win this challenge!!!

Dream Call Recap

Last night was our semi-annual dream call our state of the company call that we all look forward to each January and September!

We did experience some technical difficulties at the beginning but if you click on this link you can view the entire call as we recorded it!

The theme for the call was Take the Challenge!

So to you my team lets take the challenge-- Heather is doing a contest for her team and she is including our team for any stylist who recruits 2 stylists in January will receive a FREE cami in her size and color choice:) We can do it ladies lets think about anyone who has asked us lots of questions, wanted to help us reach a goal or just helped a lot at a trunks show, or maybe just a lady you want on your team.  Make a list of each of these ladies (I have made my list into a table with the following information)
name---occupation--what attributes she has that would make her a great stylist--why ruby ribbon--90/50/10(remember Panera bread Lisa taught us this)-- what concern does she have--next step I need to make

Once you make your list it will be easier to figure out which ladies you need to be working with more and which ones will not join this month but maybe next month:)

If you want me to help you with your list I would love to just let me know

Anna Z gave us some updates on the company
- we now have around 800 stylists nationwide and growing:) still lots of growing to do
-RR has been featured in lots of press in 2014 including woman's day, health, glamour, better tv and pure wow and more! keep your eyes open for more press releases in 2015
-Ruby Ribbon is now a GREAT company we are still a good company too(: we achieved and went over our goal of paying $1M in commission in 2014 cant wait for 2015:)
-City of hope- our relationship has just begun we will be doing more with them
-Hope and Toast we surpassed the goal with over 100 photos WAY TO GO
- we are still "every woman"
Many stylists were able to be on the call and tell their story

Team Call Recap

Last night we had a team call with Sr. Leader Mary Ann, Sr. Leader Heather, Leader Jennifer, and Leader Danielle was on the call along with many stylists(thank you Pauletta for joining in from our team:) ) 

Mary Ann would like to have team calls every 4-6 weeks and I would  recommend getting on the calls whenever  possible as we will have training sessions and just to get together as a team is good for us to come together:0

So last night we went over the
  • importance of booking your calendar
  • Dream Call
  • Hope and Toast results
  • Check product inventory
  • customer care calls
Booking calendars Very Important
I have said this many times and will probably say again but it is very important to keep your calendars booked and it is something that I am continually working on myself for my business(I have not perfected this task yet)

Dream Call
Every stylist needs to plan to join the call on January 12th at 8:00PM and invite everyone you know: friends, family, co-workers, potential stylists, brand ambassadors, hostesses, customers
This is our opportunity call on steroids, monthly recognition, and our wonderful CEO Anna will be on the call sharing with us the dream of the company(state of the union for Ruby Ribbon)

Reminder to invite people to join in on the opportunity calls for every 2 guests that you invite you will receive business supplies

Hope and Toast
This promotion was very successful and lots of fun hope that it becomes a yearly event it was beneficial to get rejuvenated after the Holiday and got us ready for business 2015!

Check product inventory 
This is very important to do before each trunk show or personal appointment to make sure you tell your customers we are low on an item or out of an item before they order it is easier to say while ordering than to make that call after the order has been placed

Customer care calls
VERY VERY VERY important to keep up on these customer care calls-- it builds a relationship between you and your customers and helps to keep the RR conversation open. At first it may be uncomfortable but step outside your comfort zone and do it once or twice and it will be like second nature for you! 
HINT: I find it helps me to mark it on my calendar to make customer care calls like an appointment

open a trunk show in back office for yourself and enter all individual orders at the end of the month close the show and earn double credits for your business build your rack!  Remember to enter the orders and process as a ship now keeping the show open and closing at the end of the month(not too late though)

Meetings are going to be scheduled every 4-6 weeks keep your eyes open for an e-mail, text, or facebook reminder

Happy January

As I sit here on the first Friday evening of the new year I am thinking about the exciting year we are about to have!
What a better way to start this year than with our Hope and Toast event-- we get to party and call it work:)
I will be a at a scrapbook event with some of my best customers and hostesses then I am going to visit my best friend(biggest fan) and hostess to toast to her and thank her for everything!!!

I hope that you all have something planned for Hope and toast whether it be with family, friends, hostesses, customers, or potential stylists!  make sure you take a picture with the logo and post it to Ruby Ribbon by e-mailing to support@rubyribbon.com

1-12-15 8PM Dream call-- invite family, friends, hostesses, brand ambassadors, potential stylists, anyone really to join the call

1-26-15 8PM Spring launch call-you will want your laptop or tablet and phone and join the call to see the new line being released
The spring line will launch Feb 1st more information coming soon!

At the end of this month I will be flying to San Francisco to a Ruby Ribbon leader conference I will have access to e-mail and my phone (remember I will be 3 hours behind WV) I am so very excited to  attend this conference to learn all I can so that we can grow our team in 2015!

Remember GOALS are very important to make-- try to write them down in a journal, or notebook you can even make a visual goal board(I did mine with poster board) this is helpful especially if you are a visual person.  If you share your goals with at least one other person this could be a friend, spouse, family member, teammate, or leader-- this helps to keep you accountable for your goals and the person can also be your support system helping you meet those goals! If by chance you don't meet the goal that person can help you make a new plan and encourage you!

This month I want you to each mark down your  goals for January, and 1st quarter (jan-mar) Really think about these and be honest with yourself be realistic with your goals!  Of course we all would like a million dollars but unless it is realistic lets not mark that down:) (maybe a long term goal)
