Recap from Holiday Call 2014

The holiday launch call was awesome if you missed it please go to the back office and watch the presentation
WE want to promote Cause from 9/29- 10/31
Ruby Ribbon has a goal to raise $15,000 that is 10% of our sales from cause going to breast cancer research
Ruby Ribbon is encouraging stylists to also donate(donation form in back office)

recap from team call 9/16/2014

Wow what an awesome call last night with Lisa S.  our director of sales east coast!

In case you missed it here are some notes I jotted down during the call

  • Fall statistics
  • August 1-15 
    • 86 shows nationwide
    • $746.00 average trunk show 
    • 5.7 people attended trunk show
    • people purchased an average of 1.7 pieces
  • September 1-14
    • 91 shows nationwide
    • $1000.00 average trunk show
    • 6.7  people attended trunk shows
    • people purchased an average of 2.23 pieces
We are truly a fashion company now

  • 20% of all orders from fall have included a ponte pant 
  • 24% of all orders from fall have included fashion pieces
Be a business partner not a pushy sales person
  • If we are pushy the hostess will back out of hosting a trunk show previously scheduled
  • If we are pushy the customer will buy something she did not necessarily like and then never come back
  • If we are a business partner we will be able to secure hostesses and trunk shows
  • If we are a business partner we will be able to  help a customer find what she truly needs and she will be our customer long term
The first thing to do is take an interest in her, reassure her of any obstacles she may have, ask again for a date

Never leave a party without a date written down-- the "let me get back with you" line is only going to cause a lot of work and frustration on both you and the potential hostess-- nail down a date the night of the show and then call for a followup to make sure that the date is going to work.

Cause Call notes 9-15-2014

I hope that everyone was able to make the call last night however if you could not make it I took some notes...

  • 9 out 10 of our stylist knows someone who has had breast or has breast cancer 
  • Our cause partner is the City of Hope
    • world renowned in biomedical research

    • developed the leading breast cancer drug used world wide
  • Ruby Ribbon has a goal
    • to donate $15,000 to City of Hope during the month of October from the 7 cause items

    • Cause event officially begins Oct 1st but sales from September 26th will count till October 31st
    •  purchasing samples for your rack will also contribute to 10% sales donations

We are now about halfway through the month of September, how has your month been so far, how does it look for the remaining 16 days?

Connect

I am so excited and proud to be a Ruby ribbon stylist, the home office continues to amaze me with the amount of training they provide to their stylists!

They recently released the new mobile learning platform called CONNECT

Stylists are given tasks and when tasks get complete we get points

This type of training is more like playing a game instead of learning, which makes for a positive reaction.

What to do when no one shows up

I think we have all been there at some point.  It is that moment when you have prepared for a trunk show (party), you have sent invitations, you have prepared food, you have cleaned your house, and no one shows up. 

As a stylist it is hard when this happens to know what to do to resolve the situation.

If you are close to the hostess you can do one of two things

1. Help her reach out to her guest list and see if anyone had forgotten and would still like to come
2. Go ahead and do a Private Styling Consultation and allow your hostess to take up outside orders

However you choose to handle it remember to always be positive and reassure her that it is fine it is never a waste of your time.  Make it about her, that you want her to have a party to get the awesome benefits, never make it about you and your check.

If you are not close to the hostess you could still handle it the same way or
1. you could also offer to reschedule
2. schedule private styling consultations with her guest list (let her know this will delay in getting the order)

When it happens to you personally it can be very discouraging, mainly because we don't have someone (stylist) supporting us and fixing it.  We have to remember not to take it personally (easier said than done) here is how to help resolve this

1. Reach out to guest list by phone( not text) and just say you missed them at your event and kindly ask why they didn't come most of the time you will find they forgot
2. Offer to do private styling consultations
3. Offer to do a trunk show for the guest

Don't let poor showings at trunk shows discourage and defeat you!

Dream Call recap

Wow what an awesome dream call!!!

Here is just a few notes I took while on the call

  • 10% of the proceeds from cause collection goes to City of Hope Breast Cancer Research
  • We now have 20,000 customers nationally
